Hi and welcome back to the Prepping Positively Podcast. I’m Annie and today we are talking about the one thing you simply must have to learn to be self-reliant.

Last week I gave you some great resources for learning the skills you wish to acquire when it comes to being self-reliant. And although I commend you for wanting to educate yourself and learn these new skills, you won’t be able to unless you have this one thing I am talking about.

The one thing you absolutely must learn...To be confident and believe in yourself.

Are you surprised that that’s all it is? Are you confused by that? Don’t be. Let me explain.

No matter what we try to do in our lives, including learning something new, we have to have the confidence to know we can do the things that we want to do. In order to be confident, we need to believe in our abilities and mindset.

When we believe in ourselves and our abilities, we tell our brains that we can do something. It’s like triggering our brains to be positive and want to absorb the information we are giving it.

So when we take on trying to learn a new skill for example, our brain is ready to do so. If we stumble while learning something new, or run into difficulty, our brains can allow us to stay positive during the struggle. This comes from the belief in ourselves and our level of confidence we have.

So before you make any plans, or start learning a new skill, make sure you are confident and believe in yourself. Trust me you will go a lot further and be much more successful in all you do!
